Bob Lutz อดีตรองประธานของ GM ได้เปิดประเด็นไว้หน้าสนใจอย่างมากเกี่ยวกับ Corvette ทั้งนี้เขาให้สัมภาษณ์ว่าตนยังคงทำงานให้กับ GM และเผยว่า ทางค่ายมีแผนที่จำสร้าง Corvette ในเวอร์ชั่น SUV

My Corvette SUV Render ? ______________________________________ [7/10/19] Firstly I don’t think there should be a Corvette SUV, unless Corvette becomes its own brand… but that’s never going to happen! Anyway here’s what i did for this render! Starting off with the “camaro inspired” Blazer, I stretched out and moved back the rear wheel, moved to front wheel up & increased the width as the Corvette SUV would have to be a Longitudinal platform not transverse FWD like the Blazer, and pinched in the center body to accentuate the rear fenders! I also lowered and slanted the roofline and stretched the wheelbase a bit! ? [@Allcarnews Spec Sheet: What would power a Corvette SUV? Well let’s just say it has a 6.2L Supercharged LT4 V8 making 650HP and 650 lb-ft of torque going to… All four wheels! ? Upfront was quite a challenger as all of the current Corvette SUV renders are… well crap, so this is all unique. The side vents are from a 2019 Camaro but enlarged, the grille from a Z06 and i custom made the headlights! The hood on the Blazer was quite high so i had to lower it significantly and create that signature V shape design. There also are Z06 wheels and modified door handles along with vents from the C7! พร้อมเสริมว่า Corvette เครื่องวางกลางที่กำลังจะเปิดตัว อาจไม่เป็นที่ดึงดูดของกลุ่มลูกค้าใหม่สักเท่าไร ถึงกระนั้นทางค่ายจึงต้องการใช้ชื่อ Corvette บนรถ SUV ที่มีประสิทธิภาพเช่นเดียวกับคู่แข่งอื่น ๆ เช่น Porsche Cayenne

แน่นอนว่าพวกเขาไม่ได้มุ่งเป้าไปที่ฐานแฟนๆ รายเก่า เพราะฉะนั้นประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของ SUV อาจไม่เป็นที่ถูกตาต้องใจของแฟนๆ รายเก่าเท่าไร ซึ่งหากถามเรื่องหน้าตา เราแนะนำให้ดูภาพเรนเดอร์ชิ้นนี้จาก Allcarnews ที่จินตนาการถึง SUV ขึ้นมาได้ดีทีเดียว

พื้นฐานมาจาก Chevrolet Blazer ที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจาก Camaro ที่นำมาขยายฐานล้อให้ยาวยิ่งขึ้น และ กว้างขึ้น มาพร้อมซุ้มล้อโค้งขนาดใหญ่ หลังคาราดเอียง ไฟหน้าได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจาก Corvette เช่นเดียวกับกระจังหน้าขนาดใหญ่
